I went on the Outback Safari Feb 18 with the Zukiwsky/Kelly wedding group. Our tour guide was William, who my parents had previously befriended on a trip, and our driver was Hector. We all had an AWESOME time!! I would definitely recommend this excursion to anyone who wants to see and learn more about the Dominican Republic! Oh, and don't forget to request William as your guide ;)

Our entire travel group (Times Past Inn - Bloomington, IL) went on the Outback Safari on Tues., Feb. 5, 2010, with tour guide Sammy and driver Leo. We had a great day and this was undoubtedly one of the highlights of our trip! Enjoyed seeing and learning about the Dominican Republic (especially outside of the resort environment). Fun day had by all! Would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the D.R.

We went on the Outback Safari tour on Wednesday, Feb 10th 2010 with our guide Sammy and driver Luis. It was one of the best tours we have ever taken on a vacation. Very fun along with being very educational about the country. This was our first trip to the Dominican Republic, but we will definetly be back and will probably take this same tour again. OMG!!!! We had the best time. We learned so much about the Island and It's history. We also forgot some of it because of all the free rum. I would do it all again. WOW!!! Kenny was our guide and Scooby was our driver. My family and I went on the full day tour. It was a blast, my son and daughter where the only kids on the tour. Kenny made it awesome for them. He was joking around with my son Reilly who is 9. We loved everything about the tour but one of the best parts was the boogie boarding at the end. The waves where the biggest I have ever seen. I recommend this tour to everyone...you will not regret doing it, worth every penny. Oh, Kenny we have a 15 year plan for Reilly to take us on the Hawaii Trip...LOL...thanks for a great day.

This was our first trip to the Domincan Republic.We have been all over the world and done the Safaris where ever we have gone but i must say that this was one of the most organised and friendly we have been on.I would put this down to our Tour guide Jose and our driver Hector.These two guys were funny all day long and looked after us like royalty.Next time i come back i will definitely ask for them again.Please go on this tour as if you dont you will have missed a great day out

We went on the Outback Safari a couple of weeks ago, Angel was our tour guide, what a great guy and what a wonderful thing these guys do everyday with local communities and projects. They work endlessly bringing smiles to so many people young and old. We visited a local school which had running water and flushing toilets for the first time only last year, thanks to these guys and everyones contributions. The elderly lady who welcomed us into her home with wondeful hospitalitly, offering fresh coffee and fruit. She lost her husband of 52 yrs the month before. We met local villagers and the children came to breet us, schol was out as it was a bank holiday. Wonderful countrtyside, and an inspiring eye opener and humbling experience. Boogie boarding was great and Rich enjoyed his one to one tuition from Angel. Thanks to all you guys at Outback, keep up the good work and see you next year.

My wife and I took the full day trip with"Sammy Carewash"and Luis the driver.Both were fantastic and fun.The trip was entertaining and interesting,with a genuine effort to explain the local customs and info regarding the DR.Very informative with a lot of fun mixed in.When we return next year,I'll take my kids along,as they would also surely love it.Well done Sammy and Luis.

On January 20th my husband and I went on the full day East Coast Safari. Our guide, Jess, and our driver, Caesar, were excellent! We had great people in our group too. It was very informative, and it was wonderful to find out that your company takes part of the money it makes to help the Dominicans help themselves. We enjoyed it thoroughly.

A perfect way to spend a day!! With tour guide LUIS and driver LEO (who kept the drinks flowing!) we were shown the beautiful countryside and gained insight as to how the dominican people live and the country's history. LUIS was very knowledgeable and kept everyone engaged with his sense of humour. Our 4 year old daughter truly loved this excursion as well, taking in all the sights and learning about how chocolate is made. Highlights of our trip included - a visit to a coffee/chocolate plantation, a delicous traditional dominican lunch, and boogie boarding on huge waves at a local beach. Thank you so much for the wonderful day and for giving back to your community!! We will be back!!

Alex and Ramon were a great team! Alex showed love and pride for his country and made our day fun as well as informative. He made every person on the trip feel welcome and comfortable. Ramon didn't speak much English but his smile made us feel like he was willing to help at any time he was not driving! What a personal, fun and adventurous way to learn about a new country. We travel a lot and often take tours of new cities and new landmarks. This was fun because Alex knew exactly how to be charming and helpful while giving insight into the Dominican way of life. He was sincere and didn't try to sensationalize or exaggerate the good or the .... As parents of teenagers, we were concerned that they wouldn't like the trip so we went first then sent them on another day -- they were even more impressed than we had been! They were lucky to be picked up first at the Barcelo so they had one on one time with Alex until the next hotel stop. My daughter studies Political Science at Dalhousie so she was very keen to follow up some of her "book learning" with real information from a real Dominican. I am a teacher who would highly recommend this tour, expecially if you are lucky enough to get Alex and Ramon! PS We took another tour to Isla Saona and the bus ride was tedious and awful because our guide did not even try to give information -- instead he read his newspaper at the front of the bus!
