We took the outback safari tour on august 11th 2003 and had the most fantastic day out. Our "daddy" was Miguel and our driver Nico. Miguel was so entertaining, and kept the kids amused right up to the very end. We especially enjoyed going to the Typical Dominican house, the children liked the cat and her kittens the most!! All in all an excellent trip was made all the better by our fantastic guide. Thank you Miguel for making it such a day to remember.

Me and my parents went on the outback safari trip on the 3rd August 2003 and our guide was Ruddy!!!!and our driver was felix! i would just like to say that it was a great day out and both Ruddy and Felix made the day thouroughly enjoyable! We took the Outback Safari tour on July 24, 2003, and it was the best tour I've ever been on! When we booked the tour, I was concerned about it being 8 hrs. long, but as soon as we boarded the truck, I could tell it was gonna be a fun time! Rigo was our tour guide, Victor was our driver, and we had the best time ever! Rigo told us so much about the country's history, showed us the types of things that grow there (7 different kinds of bananas!), took us to see how typical dominicans live, and basically led us on a fun filled day! The time flew by! And I can't wait until next year so we can take the tour again! Thanks, Rigo for making our tour special. It was our best memory of the Dominican Republic. SPECIAL TIP: Wear a hat (or better yet buy one from the tour) and lots of sun screen!

This tour was absolutely fabulous! Our tour guide, Alex, was courteous, friendly, informative, and funny. Victor, our driver, deserves a medal for tackling the roads, pedestrians, and crazy drivers. He was kind and polite. My friend and I think that this was the best part of our vacation. The mountains, beach, and scenery are just breathtaking. We learned so much about the people, the history, and the country that we would not have found out by sitting poolside at our resort. There is no excuse for not taking this trip. You may decide to pass on it, but you will be sorry that you did. Don't miss this fantastic opportunity to experience the true Dominican Republic! Gracias, Alex y Victor!

Took the tour Aug 1 2003. This was the best excursion I have ever taken. I read good things about the trip, but everything exceeded all that has been written. Nacho was the guide, and Danny was our driver. I brought pens, paper, pencils, crayons with me to donate. It is a wonderful cause that you support. Many people that go to the resorts, stay there and do not have a clue what goes on beyond the hotel. We seen little kids no more than 3-4 years old with no clothes having to carry water bare-footed on gravel roads so that they can have fresh water to cook with or drink. It is sad, but to know that Outback is giving back and helping these families, and schools, is so wonderful. If you only only take one excursion,when you visit take this one, bring an extra suitcase of clothes, toys, supplies. These people can really use them. The whole staff is awesome. You learn so much and they do a great job to keep you happy. While you are with them, and they tell you this many times, they are your family, and they treat you that way.

Went on the tour my last full day (7/29/03). Our guide, Dios, and driver, Luis, made the day one of the greatest vacations adventures. I wanted to see the real Dominican Republic and was not disappointed. I have memories and pictures to last a lifetime. If anyone is skeptical -- don't be -- it was the best $75 I spent on vacation. We returned from the Domenican Republic on the 31st of July after 2 weeks @ the Hacienda Tropical Resort, we took a trip on the out back safari on the 24th of July and found it to be extremelly pleasurable. Our tour guide R.U.D.D.Y, why because thats his name baby and Felix our driver made it a fantastic day out and one we wont forget! Ruddy was informative and very funny, we never stopped laughing, thanks for a great day out!!! I would like to say that a most memorable day was the time me (Kathleen and Sean) spent on our Outback Safari. Our guide Jesse (PPV) was the most top guy you could meet. He was full of information about the Dominican history and people. If all your tour guides are like him, you'll have no problem getting the support and funds that you need to support the Dominican people (children). It was a pleasure to buy your merchandise knowing that the funds would go towards the children's education, especially as it is more appreciated in the Dominican (than the well-off children here, NOT THAT THEY KNOW IT). We had a FAB time!! highly recommend excursion, our tour guide was Maney and driver Raymon full of information and very funny, there were 29 of us as my partners cousin got married in Dominican and we had balloons on our jeep which was a great touch. We stayed at The Iberostar, Playa Dorada, very nice hotel. Now back in boring England and back to work etc... how i wish i was boogie boarding and basking in the sunshine......Adios

I got back from the Dominican Republic last week and i had the best time ever! I did the outback safari with my parents and we all had a brilliant time. I would like to congratulate our guide Papa Carlos! Carlos u were an amazing guide, very funny and great to spend the day with! I intend to come back in a couple of years time and i promise i will return to do the trip again! The things you do to help the Dominican children is a great idea and a really worthy cause. So Thanks to Papa Carlos and the guys it was great!
