A fantastic day, even in the tropical rain! Ruddy was our guide - the best i'm sure. Our driver was Victor and he was 'one of the best 50 drivers in the DR'! Will continue to recommend the day to anyone and everyone I meet.

We were Miguel familia and it was awesome. From the initail handshake and buckling in to the coffee, cocoa and mamajuana to lunch the to body surfing ( where I beat Miguel) to home. This was a great day and we would love to do it again and highly recommend this to others. Watch out for the tourists, loosers. the bar is OPEN !

Thank you, thank you, thank you. Amazing fun, amazing scenery, and I am already planning my next trip to the DR and yes I will definatly be doing the Outback Safari again. Our guide was Ruddy and our driver was Junior. Both of course were the absolute best. They are very polite, friendly, funny and professional. Thank you for making it such a wonderful, exciting, fun time. I will never forget.

Salut

We just returned home from our trip to the DR and both of us agreed that the best experience we had was the one provided by Angel, Kenny, and Johnny on the Outback Safari trip (Dec. 20). We would like to take this opportunity to thank these guys for the fun (great personalities/plenty of rum) and information (very knowledgeable guides). We would also like to recommend for anyone who is interested in having a great time on their visit to the DR to take this trip and if possible, request these guides. It will truly be an experience you will never forget!!! PS... Kenny, Angel, and Johnny... Keep away from the car wash.

I went on the tour with Jessie. It was an awesome day. I was impressed with the amount of information that he gave about the country, the history and in fact the island including Haiti. The trips to the typical Dominican house, school, store were sure enlightening. I was especially impressed by the fact that Jessie knew the kids and the families in the area that we went through and how both he and Outback Safari are encouraging kids to go to school and paying for those who cannot afford the books and uniforms and paying for some kids with special needs to go to special schools. THAT IMPRESSES ME and to have fun besides was an awesome experience that I would recommend to anyone.

Just wanted to say this is a great trip. Nacho was our guide and Ramon our driver. Nacho was very funny, smart and intelligent, not to mention how he can make a rum and coke off the the back of the truck!! Nacho I made one just like that for the plane ride home!!!! I will never forget the school children we met and the famliy who allowed us into their home. They say God must have blessed us in Canada, but after seeing a lifestyle that was truly real, they must be blessed as they have love in their hearts and are thankful for everything they have. There are many lessons to be learned in life it's just that you never know when it will be. Today was one for us and I thank you for allowing us to see what we really have and what really matters in life. God bless those children.
Adios "nacho familia"

Had a great time with our guide Miguel (aka Sexy Chocolate) and driver Carlos. They were very informative and entertaining. Things were kind of slow then Miguel got things going and kept the bar flowing. Make this tour a must see on your vacation. It is well worth the money.

Where to start. Let me first say that Miguel AKA Sexy Chocolate is the absolute BEST!!! It was my idea to take this trip and although the rest of my family doubted it,we all had a fantastic time. I can't pin point my favorite thing we did because I had such a great time the whole day. We had an "Open Bar" throughout the whole day, stopped at a ranch for lunch, went to a typical DR home, boogie boarding at Macau Beach, visited a rum shop and much much more. This trip is a must. It is a bit expensive but the beauty you see is priceless. Miguel is such a people person and Carlos(our driver) was great. I highly recommend this trip to everyone!! YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!!! Adios from Loretta, Miguel familia.

AWSOME, AWSOME, AWSOME!!!!
What more can I say. My husband and I went on this tour in March of 2004 and I would fully recommend this to any one that was going. Anybody that is going to the DR really needs to take this tour. It is an eye opener to see how they live. If you only have enough money to take one tour, let it be this one.
Scooby and Jesse were our tour guides and these guys need a raise!!!!!! They are what make this tour!!!
We miss you guys and have tried to make our own scooby drinks at home and they don't taste the same.

What an amazing, eye-opening opportunity! No one should miss this trip. When planning this trip, I was thinking it was going to be the typical tourist-y excursion. It was so far from that! Our tour guide - OMAR and driver, TONY were amazing. They were both very nice and very passionate about their beautiful country. Everything we saw and participated in was so informative and educational. It really made me feel thankful for what I have, but very envious of what the Dominicans have as well. I really wish I would have packed a bunch of school supplies for the students we met at the school. They are such beautiful kids and so much fun to be around. They were so excited to see us and the boys were so excited to talk about American Baseball (Sammy Sousa etc...) Please - If you go, take these kids school supplies..even if it's just a few notebooks and some crayons...they really have to work to get to school and it's good to encourage them! The boogie boarding was my favorite - but that's not saying much because the whole day was as equally wonderful...plus - I live in Ohio...I don't get to boogie board...EVER!
Everyone who visits the DR should go on this trip. It's a great experience. I was so happy to be able to meet so many great people in the Dominican countryside. OMAR and TONY really do provide the best (and most fun) tour!
Thanks you two for such a GREAT day!

What can we say that no-one else has already said. WHAT AN ADVENTURE! From pick up to drop off the day was nothing but fun, entertainment and education. Our tour guide for the day was Jesse, very funny and knowledgable man, who taught us so much about the other side of Dominican life. The stop offs at the school and house were an eye opener, the river was a welcome relief from the heat followed by lunch which was pleasant. The highlight of the day was boogie boarding, certainly not to be missed. At all times as a family we felt safe in the vehicle and our belongings also. We couldn't have asked for a better day and highly recommend to all. Thanks to the outback gang for a great day. (I think the free flowing rum and 7Up added to the day)

WOW-what an amazing tour. My sister and I took the tour while in the D.R. last week and we loved it. Our tour guide was Alex and we learned so much from him! Our parents travelled with us but did not take the tour, and from what we told them about it, I believe they regret not going! We had a blast, learned a lot of interesting facts about the country, and enjoyed seeeing the countryside. I will definately recommend this tour to anyone visiting your country! We met w/ another Outback group along the way, and although Alex the best tour guide, Miguel was rather amusing as well. I wish you all well and thanks so much!

What an experience we had on your tour. It has been a while since we were in the Dominican (Christmas last year, our 25th wedding anniversary) but the memories of our tour are still fresh in our minds. In fact I have set up the screen saver on our computer to run pictures from our trip to your beautiful country. One of my bosses at work had been in the D.R. a few weeks before we were and she said that we must take the jeep tour through the outback. Kenny and Robert were excellent tour guides. They answered every question we asked. During the recent rash of hurricanes to hit your area our thoughts were with the people we met on our vacation. The tour we took was a real eye opener. Unfortunately school was closed when we had our tour. My wife was disappointed because she is an educator. Thanks again for being so informative. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip and when we return we will go again.

This tour was excellent. A true eye-opener. When touring the
countryside and seeing the Dominicans lifestyle, it makes you
appreciate the life we have back in the States. However, that being
said, the Dominicans seem happy, work hard, and love their country,
so they don’t have it bas as we may think.
Our tour guide was Miguel, who was awesome. He spoke perfect
English and was very personable and informative. He provided the tour
with drinks every half hour and escorted us to lunch that was
enjoyable.
Although the bogey-boarding was fun, it was hardly the reason to go
on the trip and was only 45 minutes long. Go for the experience to see
a different country, staying at a resort by the ocean doesn’t really
count, and see a different way of life. You’ll be glad you went.

One word-AWESOME! We almost did not take tour, changed mind at last minute. THANK GOODNESS! Our tour was the highlight of our trip to Puerto Plata in DR.It made rest of tours look sad. Our guide was Jesse. He did excellent job (big understatement!). So informative about the culture, the people, the places of Dominican Republic.
We really felt like we learned so much about the area from the trip. All the guides were funny and polite. Our driver Junior was the safest driver in the country. He did great. We already know if we bring our family to DR, we will get the tour for them too.
Boogie boarding was fun, loved the rum and cokes. Lunch very edible. Nonstop fun. All the tour guides work very hard to make sure you are having fun. Felt safe whole time and our belongings were safe too. Fun for anyone, singles, couples, families.
Thanks Jesse, Junior, and Outback!
