Ola...We went on the tour with Angel and Henry and had a great time. They definately made it a memorable experience. My son loved floating down the river in the currents and we all enjoyed the boogie boarding. It was nice to be able to visit a house and a school. Lunch was great and of course so were the rum and pepsi's!!! We really were blessed with an "Angel" that day!!! Thanks for a wonderful day!!

Our outback safari tour was wonderful. Angel and Henry were the perfect hosts. We loved the boggie boarding, the river rapids and the trip to the school was the highlight. We'll be back next year with our grandchildren, they have got to see this. Hey Angel- "smell this and pass it around!!" You guys do wonderful things. "See you at the car wash."

We went on the Safari on February 8, 2006. Right from the get go tour guide Jesse and driver Roberto 'Bob' were easy going and a whole lot of fun. Jesse has the perfect personality to guide and explain the surroundings. The trip was informative and we would not have been able to see as much of the DR as we did on this excursion. It is certainly an eye opener to see the typical family home and the school. The Dominicans were gratious in allowing us to visit them. Hats off to the Outback Safari company for sponsoring and providing as much as they do. If anyone is going to the DR, go to the Dollar store or Walmart in Canada first and bring down as many school supplies and clothing as you can. Everything will be used and appreciated. Again, thanks guys for a great day the river body surfing and boogie boarding was excellent. Lunch was good too. Bob's bartending abilities were great as well.

Hi, I'am planning a trip to DR and was wondering how far in advance did you make reservations for this excursion? Should it be done before leaving or is it ok to do it while there :) THanks

We've been back in Canada for a week now, but had an amazing vacation, and when looking back at the trip, one of the highlights was definitely the day that we spent on the Outback Jungle Safari.
Our whole family really enjoyed our day, it gave us a great opportunity to see lots of what there is to see in the Dominican Republic. It was nice to get to visit a school and a house, and lots of fun to go boogey boarding later in the afternoon!!
But the day wouldn't have been the same without such a great tour guide and driver (Thanks Ruddy and Henry)!! Ruddy our guide was really great, he definitely made the day lots of fun, and made sure we never had an empty drink!
It was a great time, and we definitely will go on another Outback Jungle Safari trip next time we visit the Dominican Republic!! Hopefully with Ruddy and Henry as our guides!
THANKS!!! Katie

Hola,
Well it's back to reality, cold weather, work. I went on the tour with a couple of friends the day before we left, Thursday, January 26. Fantastic tour. Well worth the money. Saw lots that wouldnt normally see. Our tour guide George of the jungle and our driver Jane were fantastic. George was a riot, a real comedian. He is well suited for the job. If I ever make it back to Dominican Republic, I will probably go on the tour again. Outback Safari deserves a lot of credit for helping local schools and families financially.

Hola to Omar's Family!!! My friends and I did the tour on February 2nd. It was the absolute highlight of the trip for me. Omar (our tour guide) and Leo (our driver) were the best. Omar seemed to have such pride in his country and helped me to appreciate it also. The countryside is so green and pretty. The family at the casa typica were great. Finally the school kids that we saw were so adorable. This excursion is a must do. I would do it again in a heartbeat! I love the Dominican Republic!

We went on our tour on January 16th. Sammy (Davis Jr.) was our guide and Candyman was our driver. I would recommend this excursion to anyone going to the Dominican Republic. We had a great time. Our Sammy knew everything about the island. There wasn't a question that he couldn't answer. And he just might be the best bartender around! What impressed me most was the charity work that they do to support the local schools. If anyone reads this before going, please go to Walmart and spend a couple of dollars on school supplies. The children there must bring their own pencils, paper or anything else they need. These poor kids have nothing, so if you can please bring a couple of things and give them to your guide and the Outback Safari will personally distribute them.

Thanks to Ruddy and Henri for a GREAT day. Enjoyed every minute of the day. We travelled with a large group (23)
so we took over a whole jeep and had a wonderful time exploring the real DR. and Ruddy was such a great source of information. He was great with our teenage kids teaching them much about the island.
Hope to see you guys again next winter.

We went on our excursion on Jan 6th...the day after my wedding! Ruddy (TWO D'S!!) and Victor were our guides for the day and they were nice enough to decorate our truck for the occasion. We had a blast!! My grandmother (78 years old) came with us and Ruddy was sure to make sure she was having a good time....'Mommy' as he called her, enjoyed all the special attention he gave her...what a ladies man! Overall, the trip was very fun, educational, and interactive. We especially enjoyed the lunch and boogie boarding. But let's not forget Ruddy's exceptional bartending skills....amazing! I think the trip was fun, but it would not have been nearly as fun without awesome guides....keep up the good work guys!!

My wife and I went on the tour on Jan. 18, 2006. The tour guide was Papa Julio. Papa Julio spoke fluent Spanish, English and French. We found the tour to be quite educational and fun. We would recommend this excursion to anyone.

I went on this tour on Jan. 17, 2006 and had an awesome time. Our guide was Rudy and the driver was Victor. We got to see a traditional Dominican Home, a school, a growing patch of pineaple, grapefruit, oranges, we went boogie boarding, floating down the river, a little shopping, lots of info...and much more....thank you so much....remember to take lots of photos....I did, but unfortunatley they got deleted on the way home :(

Went with Kenny as the guide and Scooby was the driver. Both of them were entertaining and kept us laughing all day long. Kenny especially made a point of keeping the small children on the tour involved and entertained. Kenny deserves a raise even though he is the "oldest" guide in the company. Well done guys and keep up the good work!

It's been 11 months now - there were 9 of us from the family on a wild and wacky trip with Jesse the Amazing Tour Guide and Dr. Scooby (driver, bartender, and general bon vivant), and it's all come back with a rush; all Anna and I had to do was just look at the pictures! First off, this is definitely a "must-do" in the Dominican Republic as you get to see a lot of terrain you simply won't see in your resort. Secondly, we found the tour personnel to be both knowledgeable and very, very entertaining - the laughs just kept coming, and I must admit that my family and I "kept the rum flowing and the laughter going" - particularly when two crazy Canucks walked ashore on the Sosua beach claiming the country for "King John Poutine" - Jesse's only comment was "there goes the neighborhood!".
I really appreciate the care taken with us by our two staffers, in particular the pride they have for their beautiful country and the factual way they present it. Good times aside, the trip was very educational and I also commend them for the manner in which they market the charitable work they do in supporting local schools. Will we go on this trip again? In a heartbeat, particularly if Jesse is the tour guide and Dr. Scooby has his patented Dominican Champagne. Thanks guys; I'm just embarrassed it took so long to find this forum to thank you. I remain
Your friend, M Clancy (& family)

We just got back from our Dominican Holiday and the best part about it was by far our Outback Safari tour. Our Guide was Angel V and his accomplice Henri. Both of them deserve a raise because they had us rolling in our seats (or maybe it was the rough roads). Angel was very informative and very skilled during happy hour. By the way Angel, still waiting for my ride to the car wash? Keep up the good work...awesome tour!

We went on the tour December 31, 2005. Me and my family had a really great time. They picked us right up from our hotel and we didn't have to make any switch overs. Our guide was Jesse and our driver was Henry. They were really funny and knowledgeable. My favorite part was going down the river and going boogey boarding. This tour was the high-light of my vacation in the D.R. and I would reccomend this tour to everyone.

I just wanted to say, for anyone going to do an excursion. DON"T MISS OUT ON THIS ONE. Our GUIDE RUDDY, was absolutely amazing, he made this fun and also provided a lot of information. He spoke to everyone, and kept everyone happy with DRINKS. LOL. If your looking for a wide variety of things to do, this is one not to miss. Scenic views of the country side, swimming down a river, a great lunch, boogie boarding, and a bit of shopping. NOT ONE TOO MISS. THANX RUDDY..... OH AND VICOR TOO.

What an adventure!!!!!
We are just home from our trip and I wanted to make sure that I got a comment up about our guide and driver. We took the trip Monday Jan. 16th with Scooby as our driver, and Kenny as our guide. We have 2 girls, 8 and 5 years old. I was really concerned about going onm the trip with them... too long and ? too rough. No worries lots to do packed with action so the length wasn't a problem and we always felt very safe.
Kenny was great with the kids and a fountain of information. I loved when we drove through Puerto Plata and Kenny pointed out his Uncle, friends, etc. I would like to suggest an new tour for Outback how about a Kenny's favorite places, city tourish with visits to the school and the orphanage. We would have liked more time with some local kids, maybe even recess with them and our kids?
When I am back in the DR I will take this and any other trip you add.
Thanks so much.

Chris and I spent January 12th with our guide Jessie and our driver Jr or better known as JuneBug and we had an amazing time. Jessie added that extra touch by learning everyones name and by knowing alot about everyones country! This tour was informative and a lot of fuN! I definitely recommended it to anyone interested!!!!
