During our recent stay in the dominican myself and 2 friends went on the outback safari tour and what an amazing day we had. Jesse our guide and Jose (or hose b) as jesse seemed to prefare to call him were excellent very knowledgable and hillariously funny. every aspect of the day was truly amazing and memorable a real eye opener of all the things we take for granted. The work these guys do is remarkable and i take my hat off to them. Anyone visiting the dominican i urge you to take this tour free flowing rum (ours was the AA truck apparently) and a delicious lunch are included and the day is rounded off with boogie boarding at caberete beach. Absolutely fantastic and all for a worthy cause!

This is an excellent day and a must for anyone visiting the Dom Rep. We had so much fun but at the same time we learnt alot about Dominican culture and their way of life, it really makes you appreciate what you have got. Our guide was Ruddy "who's ya daddy"! and our driver was Jose. They were fantastic and made the day a real treat. Ruddy is a charmer and can get away with anything with that smile! :-) When we're back in Dom Rep we'll be sure to be going again. Also, anyone who reads these please pass on the recommendations as the Outback Safari depends on business from tourists to continue doing their great work for a fantastic cause. Thank you Ruddy and Jose!! Emma xx

First of all let me start by saying that the Dominican Republic is a very beautiful place. And the outback safari is a "must do" adventure. I went with a few family members and we had a great time. Our Guide Leandro aka "sugar daddy" and driver Uncle Leo were the best. If you are lucky enough to get either of them on your trip you are in for a great day! Uncle Leo's driver license is one of a kind and "happy hour" never ends. Leandro is like an encylopedia fall of knowledge, very friendly and lets not forget extremely handsome. I loved the Dominican country side very well worth the money and time. Anyone going to Dominican must do this tour. I tip my hat to this organization for all you do and what you stand for. Hey...Leandro, i can't wait to hear some more Akon, you are awesome, i wish i could see you again.

I just wanted to tell you my experience. My husband and I were there the week of April 23rd to April 30th for our honeymoon. We booked a trip for the Safari that Thursday April 26th. That morning it rained & I thought it was going to be a horrible time. But the Driver (Cesar) & the guide (Omar) were fantastic. Even with the rain they were outstanding. By late morning the sun came out and it made it all the better. My husband and I did several other trips during our stay in the D.R. But that had to be by far the best. I can't even begin to tell you how much fun we had. It was a blast! And it was so neat to see and learn so much about your beautiful country. Thanks so much and give my best to Cesar and Omar!

The day was fabulous. 'Junior' our guide was fantastic. He taught us so much about the Dominican and Haiti and their history and cultures. He also knew a lot of lingo from different countries and was able to relate to everyone on the tour. He was funny too. The other guides we met up with were really good too. I think we were the luckiest to have 'Junior' though because he was the best by far. Thanks guys, you did a fantastic job and you're helping others with your sponsorship wich is an absolute plus. We highly reccommended you to others and would most definately do it again.

Excelente!!! This trip easily was the best excursion (out of the 5) we did all week. Omar y Ramon made us feel like "familia" the entire day. It was adventurous and relaxing. Omar took the time to explain everything about the country side and he made great drinks with the ron dominicano! Even though Ramon knew little English, he took time to speak to me with the little Spanish that I knew. We got to have a very good lunch while being entertained by a live band. I would absolutely recommend this trip to anyone who likes walking through the jungle, viewing exotict creatures, or boogie boarding. I even got to hold a couple of live snakes! Thanks for the fun trip and I hope to visit again very soon! Hasta luego y que pase un buen dia! Tu amigo, Pablo

We recently visited Dominican Republic on a family vacation. My wife and I brought our two young boys on this tour to show them the culture and to show how grateful they should be for what they have. Our tour Guide was named ANGEL and he was awesome and very entertaining and informative. Would recommend this trip for all and it is fun but also very touching especially a visit to the school and a typical house in jungle area. Thanks ANGEL & our driver HENRY for an awesome time!

My wife and I did the tour midway thru our week stay (19th of April), and it was fantastic. Ruddy our guide and Victor our driver were awesome. Ruddy's knowledge of his country and others, such as our home country of Canada was amazing. We learned so much about the Dominican culture and way of life. We enjoyed every minute. From the drive thru the towns to the bumpy country roads. Visiting the school, and the Outback Safari's lodge for lunch. Then Cabareta beach for boogie boarding. A must do while in Dominican. Highly recommended!

Awesome!!! We were in Punta Cana for a family wedding and a group of us decided to go on the adventure. There were enough of us to have our own truck and it was great. The truck was decorated for the wedding couple! Our guide was Franklin and he was very knowledgeable aobut everything. Franklin was extremely proud of his country and of Outback Safari for the wonderful things you do. Our driver was Raymond and he was great too. This was a wonderful time and I would recommend it to others - Boogie Boardin' was terrific.

We booked this trip hoping to learn more about the Dominican Republic. We were not dissapointed, our guide 'Julio' was great he talked about the history and way of life of Dominican people, our driver 'kristian' is a grat driver who got just about every pothole that he could manage this only added to the experiance. We as westeners sometimes take things for granted and this trip makes you appreciate just what we have. We would recommend the Outback Jungle Safari to everyone that visits the Domincan Republic. With this company doing all it can to support the local people then we as tourists should do the same. If only we knew beforehand about the support that they give to the local kids then we would have taken supplies with us for them to distribute. A GREAT TRIP FOR EVERYONE.

THIS IS A MUST WHEN VISITING PUNTA CANA. I have fussy girls and they absolutly enjoyed this excursion. Our guide Sami Sousa (Samuel) was great great. The bar man and drive was asome and cutie as my daughter said. I would highly recommend this to any one. And the fact that help out the schools and local families was a very nice addition. Keep up the good work guys

Our party laughed from the minute we got on the safari truck to the minute we got off and that was all due to the fantastic humour and knowledge of Jessie, our super guide. And how he remembered everyone's name from the minute we boarded was truly unblievable. A great guy who not only made the tour memorable, but made it one of the highlights of the whole holiday. I am a freelance journalist so I shall be running an article on my own website and also putting a page in the local newspaper - Jess and the Outback Safari will get a special mention. I was so impressed or should I say shocked by the way people lived and how children struggle just to buy essential things for school, that I have decided to set up a special charity just for the kids in Puerta Plata so that I can send them regular supplies of equipment and maybe money to buy uniforms for the less fortunate. Had it not been for the Outback safari team I would not have been aware of the plight of many families so it's thanks to them that I am now putting my efforts into helping the less fortunate. If you only go on ONE trip during your holiday, make it this one. Not only do your get an educational tour, you also stop for lunch complete with dancing girls, take a boat down the mangroves and go boogie boarding. Thanks Jess, you're a super guy and guide.

My mom and I went on the Out Back Jungle Safari tour on March 31 '07 when we were in Peurto Plata. We both had an amazing time and learned so much more than we ever thought we would about the Dominican Republic. The only thing we regret is not knowing about the charity work that Out Back does. We would have brought some school supplies with us had we known. Our tour guide, Ruddy, was great! Very smart and very knowledgable about his country. Ruddy, if you read this...where's my date? :) Our driver, Jose, was the best. He never missed a pot hole! If you only take one tour in the Dominican make sure it's this one! And don't forget to check out the great charity work this company does before you leave home.

We had a great time on this tour (Tues, April 3rd)! A "must do" trip while visiting Punta Cana. Bill was an excellent tour guide and Chris was great at driving us through our adventure! I would do this trip again and recommend it to anyone who loves adventure and wants to see the real Dominican Republic, not just the resorts.
