if you are wanting to see what the real domican i would definatley advise you go on this fabulous trip.if you decide you want to go take your camrea because when your on the jeep you see some fantasttic veiws.also take something like pencils or sweets to give the family you see because they are always very greatful.

went to Dom Rep 18th June with Aideen, Cath, Kerry and Julie. We had the most amazing time Ruddy was our guide and Victor was our driver. They looked after us the whole day. Ruddy had so much knowledge and was so interesting to listen to. It really makes you appreciate what you have when you see the true lifestyle of Dominican. Anybody visiting Dom Rep must do this tour it's an absolute must. I love the Dom rep and will certainly be going back in September 07. When you are staying in a resort you could be in any Country. The safari meant we were able to see the DR. It was so much fun, we laughed all day! Ruddy was our tour guide and he was excellent! So was Scooby! (The driver)It was very informative and relaxed. The boogie boarding was great. I wish I knew to take school items to the children before I went on the Safari, if you do go take some pens, paper etc!

We spent 10 days in Punta Cana and took the full day adventure tour. WE had SUCH A GREAT TIME! Leandro (guide) and Leo(driver)made the trip S memorable. I felt like I got a great feel for the country and the people. It made me feel good that a portion of the costs goes back to the people that we visited. I wish i had bought more coconut oil! My only (minor) issues was that the mamajuana bottles in leather leaked. Tell your friends- this is a GREAT trip!

We had Leo and Leandro as our driver and guide and they were spectacular. I cannot say enough about them, very informative and cheerful! And boy can they poor a mean Rum & Pepsi! I have to say that I was a bit ill on the trip, and they both handled it well and made sure I was comfortable. 4 STARS to them as well as the OutBack Safari company. Please make sure you bring donations to the kids for the school, they REALLY appreciate it - it was great to see their faces when we brought them goodies.

Hi Me and my 4 friends went on the outback tour in June 07. Victor was our driver and Ruddy was our tour guide. I have to say we all had the most amazing day. They both kept us topped up with rum and sprite, and Ruddy's knowledge was second to none. He's a very funny guy and had us all in stitches. I would definitely recommend this trip to anybody visiting the Dom Rep and would definitley try and get Ruddy as your tour guide.

Just got back from hols. This trip was by far the best. Our tour guide was Ruddy, he was FAB! I had with me my hubby and 2 kids Meg (9) Harvey (3) - if your wondering if it is suitable for kids, YES!!! Harvey was fine, even had a nap on the truck, even though it so quite a bumpy trip. Ruddy the tour guide really took my little one under his wing and really made a fuss of the kids. You visit some really interesting places and have lovely food and more than enough drink, nothing is too much trouble. FAB trip, FAB day, well worth going!!!!!

We have just arrived home from a fantastic holiday in the Dom Rep. We went on the outback safari last monday, with Jesse as our guide...fantastic!! We never stopped laughing all day! It was great value for money, we saw a hug amount of the real Dom Rep and Jesse kept us all entertained the entire day! We would definitely reccommend it to everyone! It was our favourite trip of the holiday!

I first took this adventure in Nov 2002 with Jesse as our guide - I loved it - still wear my T shirts I bought - Was back in March 2007 and Kenny (Jesse's brother) was our guide - had just as much fun - I just booked another trip back to DR for Xmas 2007 and will definitely do this again at that time - can't wait - best value for your money and too much fun to talk about. Please make sure you take things for the kids - ie shoes, clothes, funs stuff and esp candy as it is excruciatingly expensive in the DR.

We went on this trip on 6/25 and I loved every minute of it! Our tour guide was Ruddy and he was excellent! My favorite was the stop at the country house where we got to see how people in the country lived. It really made me appreciate all that I have. I would highly reccomend this trip, and make sure and bring school supplies for the kids. It's amazing how their faces just beamed when they saw those school supplies that they were given.

We did the outback safari while on vacation on 6/21/07. I highly recommend this tour. It is very informative. At first I did not think I could possible have fun being on a truck for 7 hours but our guide Nacho was a blast, we had a lot of fun and I was impressed with his knowledge of the country and his ability to keep us all interested.

We did the half-day tour as we couldn't imagine being away from the pool all day! Next time - we will do the full day! It was wonderful and educational and I encourage anyone I meet travelling to the DR to do this tour - learn about the real country and people there! Never in a million years would I think I would taste a raw cocoa bean - a little skeptical to put it in my mouth but very sweet. I will treasure my photos always. Thank you Leandro - you are charming, informative and your english is perfect!! But keep an eye on Papi and that 2nd driver's license! Tamara and I will be back next year to see you!!

Fantastic Day Out. Booked in resort after researching via this web site before holiday. Our guide was Ruddy (what a guy!!) and driver Scooby. It was a great experience for all of us aged between 9 and 65. There is nothing we would have changed about the day. The weather, company and tour were brilliant. Please tip your guide and driver as they work so hard to give you a fantastic day. We also took along school supplies for the children (pens and notebooks). Other people also took small toys, toiletries and clothes for the family at the house you visit and they were thrilled. If you miss this tour you will miss out.

I have just returned from a week in the Dominican. I was not disappointed and had a wonderful time. This safari was reccomended to me and I had my doubts that it would be all that I had been told. It was actually much more!!It rained most of the day but that did not stop it from being an action packed fun filled day! I would do this again if I ever went back. Our tour guide, Jose, was wonderful. He made you feel like a part of his family and he was very knowledgable of the country. The driver, candido, was also very warm and hospitable. their number one priority is your safety and you having a smile on your face all day. it was also informative and you leared how the people truly live outside of the resorts. I truly know how blessed I am. A must do activity!!!!

Ive recently come back from the fantastic Dominican Republic and what a beautiful country it is with the most friendly people i have ever met. I took this trip on the 8th of May 2007 and what an amazing trip it is. This trip highlights all the best bits of the Dom Rep and shows you there truly amazing culture and lifestyle its not one to forget. We had an hilarious tour guide called Nacho(<--ask for him)and he made the trip so much more special with his humour :) and with his funny "alaskian wee" . On our trip we gt 2 see banana plants,pineapple plants,the wonderful countryside,coffee plantations and the chocolate bean,the typical Dominican house,cigar factory,the local school,a place with crocs and crabs,big lizards,snakes,and a beautiful beach where we did boogie boarding and so, so much more.. oh and not forgetting the open bar of rum, rum , rum , beer, pepsi, water etc. and the tastey food on offer. I could go on forever but it was truly an eye opener and as ive been to the Dominican Republic three times i would definiatly return in an instance it is such a wonderful, breath-taking place and is paradise on earth and this trip just highlights just what a beautiful place it is.
