ALEX and PAPI in Punta Cana where absoleutly the best tour guide and driver I have ever had. Very knowledgeable and fun! And yes I love the 7-UP Champange. We also had school supplies for the students and in every post I've have made I make sure people know to bring something for the children it is so worth the glow on there little faces. hello all, "kenny" & "henry" you are the best guy's on the dom rep safari. Henry is such a gentleman helping all us women on/off the geep,and the best driver ever. Kenny is so funny but serious when needed,we met some great people, one family live only a short distance from us back home, it realy is a small world. The day is so memorable, we would recomend everyone to take, this trip, we will defenatley go again, especialy to see the school children, they realy give a warm welcome, and knowing that they are getting the education that they need makes this trip worthy ( certainly makes you feel privalaged without a doubt). The food is exelent, the whole trip is exelent. Please tell kenny pat4wheels did go back into the sugarcane fields and came out without getting lost(he will know what you mean). 7 of us went on this safari Ruddy was our guide, he was excellent kept the rum and coke flowing all day, the lunch was good, the whole day was interesting and informative and helped to make our holiday fantastic. Keep up the good work with your fundraising!

On August 29th and precisely on time this larger than life character - Jesse - picks four of us up from our hotel for the safari into the Dominican "outback" Immediately he makes us all welcome, but waits until all are on board from different hotels before getting into the details of the trip. There were about 12 of us all told so each one of us had the chance of feeling important and this is a good thing! Jesse had that rare ability of breaking down the barriers between strangers so that from the start the journey was that much more enjoyable. His knowledge of the area was excellent and his rapport with us and the local people was superb. We enjoyed the scenery hidden from most tourists and our enjoyment was enhanced through Jesse describing all the local trees and plants and how the local fruits were harvested. We enjoyed a coffee in the "outback" and later on were able to swim in a local river and after a superb lunch and following a "face to face" meeting with an alligator we all landed up on the superb beach at Cabarete where we enjoyed the fun of boogie boarding. The driver, Wichita, was a true professional in both his driving ability and in looking after our liquid intakes! Much of the road travel took place on narrow tracks and we were hardly if ever bothered by other vehicles and traffic, at least until we had to return reluctantly and all too soon to Puerto Plata!! I should add that Jesse had an excellent knowledge of the countries from which we all came and this also enabled the conversational barriers to be lessened. The day was well worthwhile and one I will do again. I have lived in the Bahamas for a few years and have travelled in the Caribbean and Mexico for over 40 years, so I feel my opinion does have some validity! Jesse - thank you - and I am glad the-newly weds from New York took my advice and joined you two days later. Small world eh, they did not stay at my hotel but i met them on the catamaran trip and told them how much they would enjoy the "outback" and when by chance I met them again at the airport when leaving for home they thanked me most profusely, good news also travels Regards from "King Richard" Richard Thompson-Walker Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.

This was by far the best day of our whole holiday, there was so much going on and the guides were so friendly, really funny and they made the day amazing for us!! Our guide, Julian was fantastic and the driver Ralph was also great! Learning to boogie board was probably the funniest thing! The banter between the guides was great and they are very knowledgeable and are there to make the day as good as they can for you, which they are very successful at!!! We went as a group of 8 and we all loved it. The whole experience was absolutely great and i really miss it and would definitely do it again if i went back to dominican republic! I would recommend this to anyone, any age as my grandparents both came and loved it too, especially as there was all inclusive rum and cokes all day! You have to do this trip, you will miss out on a fab day if you dont!!!

Well, it was an awesome day for a tour of beautiful Dominican Republic. Our guide Omar(the Man) and our driver, were the best. They were both very knowledgeable and friendly. Omar was able to answer any questions we may have had. My girlfriend Lisa, loved the countryside and the children. Everyone on our tour had a tremendous time thanks to Omar and Speedy, ha. Me and my Family have just returned from the Dominican Republic. We went on the outback safari and we had a fab time our tour gide Easy and our driver Ralph. They provided excellent information about the Dominican Republic and also made the sarari really enjoyable ! I had an amazing time and our tour guide Easy was the best he was ace so if u ever go on the outback safari you would never regret is !!!!!!!!!!!!

I took the full day tour from Punta Cana and was far more than pleased! The tour itself was fascinating, the scenery beautiful and our guide, Johnny was WONDERFUL. He and our driver, Junior, went out of their ways to be sure every person on our tour has a great day. This tour was the highlight of my trip to the DR as I felt I actually got to see the country and meet people in their own homeland as opposed to having them wait on me in the posh resort. I would highly recommend it to everyone and am looking forward to a repeat on my next trip to DR!

We had an amazing time, when we went on the outback safari tour on June 25th 2007. My friend schintelle and I loved everything that we saw during our adventure through the city and the country side. Our extrodinary guide was Ruddy, we learned so much from him. His knowledge about the Dominican Republic is top-notch, plus he is very funny. We definitly advise this as a first choice excursion, its worth every penny.

What a fabulous experience, highly recommended. The tour is eye opening, informative and just plain FUN!!! Franklin (tour guide) seemed to know something about everything you could imagine to ask him. He is also extremely funny and friendly - a very sincere man. Please ask for him to be your guide you will not regret it! The tour goes to a coffee and chocolate farm, a fruit plantation (with some animals), a tabacco and liqour store and stops for lunch at a beautiful location with animals, hammocks and trails to enjoy. Then it's off to a beautiful, must see, beach for boogie boarding. Plenty of liquids are supplied all day long on the open back truck. It is a real experience to see the interior of the coutryside and pass many different communities along the way. It is so worth every penny! My favorite part of the tour is the opportunity to go through a typical dominican home (a step above a shanty thanks to Outback Safari) and learn about and see how coffee and chocolate are made - with tasters too! The family we met is freindly and extremely welcoming constantly saying 'mi casa et sous casa' and thanking us for coming. (excuse the spelling I know no spanish but i'm sure you know the saying.) Just knowing the Outback Safari uses our fee to help bring a family to a level of living a good life self sufficiently is heart warming. This to me makes the whole trip worthwile. They support/help a family for five years and then move on to another family who needs help. So more than and adventure, you are contributing to the wellbeing of an entire family and consequntly the country by taking this tour. Again I highly recommend this tour with Franklin as a guide. You will thank yourself for taking this opportunity!

We went on the outback safari fri 20/7/07, our guide was Ruddy he was amazing his knowledge was second to none and he really seemed pasionate about what he does. We had a fantastic day seeing all the site of the DR from the canopies to swimming in the Jessica River and boogie boarding at Cabarete. If you want to see the real side of life in the Dominican Republic then I cannot recommend this day enough it really does open your eyes, if you choose to go please take some school equipment for the children as this is something that they need very much. Enjoy your day it will be very hard not to.
