Our driver was Louie and our guide was Alex. They were AMAZING! I studied for several months about the culture of the Dominican Republic and the people, but I learned more in one day with Alex than any book could teach me! Informative, funny, and honest, Alex showed his passion with a keen eye on the purpose of his job - To inform and educate us. My respect for the Dominican people was deepened while I listened to Alex explain the culture and struggles of his people. It was clear Alex loved his homeland and the people who turn the soil, sell their wares, and breath her air. If you do anything in the Dominican Republic, please take this tour. Getting off the resort and seeing the REAL Dominican made me realize how much I take things for granted. Go humble yourself folks, then go home, look around and realize that material things mean nothing. God Bless the Dominican people!

we had a brilliant day on the safari there was 4 of us who went and had a good time we all got drunk on rum and coke!! had a brilliant time seeing the views and how to make mummawana! which was nice our tour guides mumma and pappa were brilliant!! omer and pupy!! they were great and made the day!! boogie bording on the island was very good 2!! would defantly recomend it to people!! xx

This was our second time on the tour this year and we had Ruddy as our guide and Jose as our driver again. Yet again was a fantastic day and is great to get out of the hotel and see the real Dominican. If/when we visit again we will be sure to do Outback Safari again. It's a must!! Brilliant dat with the very funny Julian and the tree shaker Ralph. Julians English was fantastic and his constant banter made the day. Humbling to see the school and how people live. J'ai fait cette excursion à la fin du mois de septembre 2007. J'ai adoré. Cette expérience a été un "must" à mon voyage. Un amalgame parfait d'aventure et de culture. Merci à Easy, le guide le plus sexy et sympatique que j'ai rencontré. Easy parle très bien anglais et français. Il s'est fait un plaisir de me traduire le tour en français durant toute la journée. Pour les gens du Québec, il connait bien nos expressions québécoises et il est très drôle, donc faites une demande spéciale et demander Easy si vous faites un Safari Outback.

We just got back from Puerto Plata and had to say "Thank you Julian & Ralph, you guys are the best!" My advise for anyone who has booked a resort is get outta there for at least one day and experience the beautiful landscape, lush jungle, exotic animals, vibrant culture and rich history of the Dominican... and go boogy boarding baby!! Do the Outback Jungle Safari.

We would like to thank Kenny, Scooby and all the staff and Dominicans that made our day out absolutely fabulous. This was an action packed day from start to finish (09:00 - 16:30) and was well worth the money (approx £35 per adult with 1 child for every 2 adults free). The day started off with a trip through the mountains, a stop at a typical Dominican “house”, passed by the school, visit to a fruit farm followed by half an hour sat in the middle of a river drinking beer. We had a lovely hot and cold lunch which was beautifully prepared then had pictures taken with the crocodiles, a short river trip and an hour on Caberete beach boogie boarding. This is completely safe and supervised as all the guides are either acting as lifeguards or in the sea with you the whole time. There’s an opportunity to buy merchandise after the boogie boarding. Caps are £6, hats £8 and tee-shirts and vests range from £4-£7, all very reasonable. During all of this Kenny kept us all entertained with his vast local and botanical knowledge. Kenny certainly has a rapport with the kids, as do his brother and Scooby the driver. Scooby has other talents as well! His “Scooby Specials” are great, I didn’t even like rum before this day!!. Our one regret is that we booked this trip on a Saturday when the school was closed. I took lots of school supplies which I would have loved to have given to the kids. However Kenny collects them all up and distributes them later in the week. I would urge everyone to go on this trip if only to take school supplies. We would certainly go again. It’s well worth the money, the drinks flow all day, the meal was lovely and you also feel that you have made a worthwhile contribution to the Island. Money raised by the Jeep Safari goes towards helping the local children and their families both in the school and at the fruit farm and river site. The only thing I would say is that is probably unsuitable for pregnant ladies and people with back or spinal problems. 80% of the time you are off road on dirt tracks with pot holes the size of small swimming pools. I don’t usually have problems travelling with regards to sickness, however at times I did feel like I’d been in a tumble dryer!!. The one thing you don’t have to worry about is the sun. As soon as it’s got hot Kenny pulled the tarp over the top and all you got was a beautiful breeze! Make sure you go and have a fab day!. Thanks again!!!!

Our tour was on 9-20-2007 Leandro and Cesar were AWESOME!! We enjoyed hanging out in the back of the truck talking with Leandro as he kept the drinks flowing and the laughs going. We talked about music, and sports and he gave me a great deal of wonderful information regarding Dominican people and culture. The locals you meet are all so friendly and you are greeted with smiles from everyone. This is one tour not to miss. I would recomend this tour and these guides any day of the week. Leandro and Cesar ROCK keep up the great work guys!!!

sept 07, This has to be the most amazing trip ever and certainly my most memorable on this holiday, what a truly fantastic day we had. Myself, my partner and our two young sons took this as our fisrt trip, we had such a fab day and Jesse was just the best guide ever he really made the day. He has so much knowledge and humour it just makes the trip so memorable. Our boys would have gone on it every day if they could. There were so many amazing sights and experiences. Had a brilliant day with kenny and Scooby.We don't know how lucky we are in this country when you see the poverty of the people living in remote places.Kenny was absolutely brilliant and gave us lots of history about the local area(some of it was definately for over eighteens). our only regret was that we didn't bring clothing, toys etc but we intend sending stuff out.If your going to the Dominican republic please please go on this trip and take stuff with you.

Went on the outback safari trip on friday 10th August.Had a wonderful day with our guide kenny & driver.The rum flowed all day as did the laughter & the jokes.We made two good friends Andrew & Lisa on this trip,boogie boarding on caberete beach was such a laugh (Lucky there is no dominican law that say,s you can,t be drunk in charge of a boogie board).We would recomend this trip to everyone that goes to the dominican republic.We will be back again soon.
