We took the Outback Safari trip on April 1, 2008. It was absolutely the best adventure of our whole trip. Our guide, Jose and driver Leonardo were wonderful. We learned so much about the country and had the best time. I would strongly reccommend this trip to anyone visiting Punta Cana. You will be very lucky if you get Jose and Leonardo as your guides. I have not had such a good time in many years. The lunch was great and we look forward to returning the Puta Cana and doing the Outback Safari again. Not to be missed!!!!!!! This tour was so much fun. Not only did we meet Jessie and the Scoob (our tour guide/driver dynamic duo), but we got to meet some great people from our resort and elsewhere! Boogie boarding alone was worth the money. We learned much about the island, its history and culture. Highly recommended.

We went on the Half Day tour on Tue 27th March 2008 and found it to be the best, most value for money holiday trip ever! We had such a laugh, as well as learning a lot too. Our guide, Alex, was excellent fun and full of really interesting info about the Dominican Republic, plus he spoke excellent English. Our driver, Christian, was also excellent and both of them made a real effort to make the trip enjoyable to all. We'd definitely recommend this trip to anyone, it'd be fun for all age groups. Thanks for a great trip, and for keeping the bar open!!

We just got home from our first visit to Punta Cana, and our Outback Safari was definitely one of the highlights of our vacation! Our guide, Alex, and driver, Leo, were very knowledgeable and helpful, not to mention entertaining! We learnt so much about the country, from its fascinating history, to the people and their lifestyle, beliefs and economy. All the stops were well-worth the time, especially the extra stop at a local school. The "open bar" was very generous, and enjoyed by all. The food at the buffet was delicious! The time on the private beach was lots of fun, especially boogie boarding. For anyone who wants the opportunity to learn more about the Dominican Republic, we highly recommend this safari! And if you are lucky enough to share it with Alex and Leo, say 'Hola" from us, and enjoy your day!

We did this tour from Punta Cana, Majestic Colonial resort. Leandro was our exceptional tour guide and our fab driver was Noel. Our group of 14 all felt it was very factual and it brought us into the culture and lives of the Domincan people. Lots of refreshments throughout the day and your safety is very important to them. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone travelling to the DR.

We went on the Outback Safari in 2000. Yes, it was awhile ago, but I was just thinking today about what a wonderful trip we had to the Dominican. And, seriously, the Outback Safari was the highlight of my trip. I can still smell the beautiful scent of the lime leaves, I can see the smile on the tour guide's happy face...everything was wonderful. I loved getting a real glimpse of the world beyond the edge of the sandy beach. Just thinking about that day brings a smile to my face. Thanks so much for these wonderful memories. :o)

This was the best tour that we went on. Our guide "Luis" and driver "Noel" were wonderful. This wasn't a "party". This was a serious (and not so serious) look at the people and places in the DR. Your trip to the DR will not be complete without this tour. Luis is an asset to both his company and his country. Thank you for teaching me so much about the DR in one day. BOOK THIS TOUR!

hey everyone! I went on this trip with outback safari with my mom and aunt, it was great we had a blast. The trip from luperon to sosua is very long but it fine you get to look at the wonderful landscape of the Republique Dominican. The luch was okay, the boat was okay not very long, but still. At the beach we had alot of fun, it was a beautiful day, but put sunscreen on (hahaha). Our guide was Julien, he was great (I say hi if you read this). So if you want to just cut the week of vacation at ur all-inclusive it's perfect, so its really worth it. Plus you get alot of nice drinks in the jeep. fun and great memories

This is one of the best experience that I had for a excursion in a long time. The people that hosted the tour where friendly and very informative. The tour operator we had was (Munchie) that is how you say it, he was very funny and cared about his people that he had on the trip with him. The food when we stopped was better than the hotel food, the barbeque sauce was great wanted the home made recipe but the cook said it was a trade secrete and he would not give it up. If you had any problems at all they where there to help you in any way they could. I would recomend this to any one that goes there it is well worth the money. Dont forget to bring something for the kids they would like it so much. The things you do and the things you see was great for my self and my 2 boys they learned so much and had a great time, would do this trip again in the future. Ask your travel rep down there you would like to have (munchie) for your tour guide he spoke 7 different languages and his english was easily to under stand. The Outback Safari is one of the best trips that you will ever book!! I was just looking back at this web-site as I've been on this trip every time I holiday in Dom Rep. The first was when it was called "Rum Runners Jeep Safari" back in 1998. The last time I visited was in 2005, I can still remember(even with all the Rum!) the guide was Angel and the driver was Scooby! This trip just gets better and better. As I'm over-due my next holiday to Dom Rep I will be definitely going on the trip again! Don't forget to take some school stuff as I know it's greatly appreciated.

Highly recommend this adventure. My girl friend and I left the boys at home and ventured to DR for vacation. We did the Outback adventure, our tour guide was Eddie and driver Noel. Realy great guys they were so helpfull in answering any questions. It was very clear that they we concerned for everyones safety as they were both very alert. Eddie was extremely knowldegable about the culture and country. We even got snakes wrapped around our necks and had photo ops of this.(They charge for this at the hotels). Lunch at the Ranch was a traditional DR lunch and was tastey. Bring money lots of cococut oil, vanila and souviners to buy. The boogie boarding was the altimate fun, we had Omar an other tour guide helping us with the timing in the water which made the day. We really wanted to go back and do the just the boogie boarding again a the same beach, maybe next year. The beach was so exclusive and the sight was fabulous. I would definately recommend the trip and I hope you get either our tour guide Eddie or the boogie board helper who was another tour guide Omar. Tanya

We had lovely day with Leandra and Ramone (sorry if the spelling is not correct) on Friday 7th March, it far exceeded our expectations. It was both interesting and fun, and at every stage we felt completely safe. We bought all of the different products from the plantation and can't wait to try them all !

What an amazing experience which all should take full advantage of. Kenny was our guide, absolutely fabulous. He was so full of energy and information, it made the whole tour all the more enjoyable. It is so difficult to fully express how wonderful this was, all I can do is fully recommend it to everyone. Avoid the cheap rip off tours, Outback Safari is often immitated but never duplicated. We will definitely do it again.

I jst wanted to say how much fun and enjoyment this tour was. Was on a small bus, onl 11 of us and was very personal. Had an awesome guide, Nacho, like book, and great driver Kelvin. Was very informative. Lunch was awesome, the BBQ chicken was fabulous. The Boogey Boarding was an awesome way to end, although I would have loved it to not end. If you want an adventure to remember, take this tour, it is one yo will remember.
