On Tuesday June 10th 2008, my girlfriend Debbie and I were priviledged to experience the Half day adventure. This experience was "absolutely incredible"! My limited vocabulary cannot effectively articulate how extremely impressed we were with your country the Dominican Republic. Getting to go out into the heart of your country gave us a "snap shot" of your beautiful country and the fantastic people who live there. The genuine warmth of the Dominican people was felt everywhere and was wonderful.
I would like to give a very very special "thank you" to one of your tour guides "Franklin". Franklin is the epitome of "professionalism", his knowledge and humor coupled with his ability to keep his "audience" engaged is outstanding! Franklin's tour expertise were definately one of our most memorable moments during our vacation and a significant component of why we hope to be back in the Dominican before the end of the year. Franklin you are a very special person with many special gifts! Keep up the exceptional work!
We would like to extend our thanks to the Outback Safari for putting together an outstanding service that not only gives visitors a better understanding of your incredible country but also gives back to it's own community.
Thank you Outback Safari.

I was part of Eddy & Carlos' tour. This was the most beautiful day and educational - as it was my first trip to the D.R. I have shared the experience with so many people, and recommend it to everyone who goes to Punta Cana. Thank you so much!

I went on the Outback Safari so I could see D.R. It was more than I anticipated and the best part of the trip. This was my first trip to the area and it was so interesting to see what the country is made of. Our guide 'Eddy' and driver 'Carlos' made our day so interesting and amusing. I will strongly recommend this tour to anyone visiting your country. Thank you!

For first timers in the Dominican Republic, and for the first excursion of the trip, we have to say that Outback Safari was the perfect way to start our vacation. Our tour guide Franklin and driver Leo were amazing and extremely funny! All the guides were very helpful and knowledgable, making the day not only fun, but educational at the same time! Boogie boarding was a blast! We would definitely recommend this tour and would do it again when we come back =)

I have to say we have travelled to the Carribean a number of times and been on a number of excersions, But this has been the best by far. The guides were very proffesional and fun,and the food was superb. It's the kind of tour that you actually come away from feeling you've had a great fun day while learning something about the country. If i was to reccomend one trip while in the Dominican republic, this would be it EXCELLENT!!!!!

this was the hilight of our vacation, our guide was jr and he was the most informed guide as far as local history,he was funny and really made the adventure memorable. the whole tour was amazing and since this was our first time in your country it was very informative. i am so happy we went on this tour to experience first hand how the people live. you do not find this on a resort. i would highly recommend this to all of my friends planning to vacation in your beautiful country. i would also like to extend my help in anyway to support the children in your community, and also the local people on the tour, if i can help i would appreciate your feedback. thanks again for a eye opening experience.

WOW!! We had a terrific trip with Sammy and Papi on Thursday, May 15, 2008! The whole trip was informative, beautiful & entertaining! Sammy was a fountain of information, answering every question everybody had, Papi was very helpful & took good care of us! He also bears a striking resemblence to Vin Diesel from the movies! The prices for items at the places we stopped at were quite good & we were sorry we had already bought our cigars! The lunch we had at the ranch was the best food of our whole trip! Even though it was buffet style it was like eating a home cooked dinner! The boogie boarding was so fun we didn't want to leave! We were quite tuckered out by the time we got back! We highly recommend this tour to everybody! A great big thank you to you, Sammy & Papi, for making our day so great & taking such good care of us! Keep up the good work for us tourists and for the people of the Dominican!

we returned from dom rep on the 14th Apr 08, just been reading the reviews of this trip and it has brought back alot of good memory's. We can honestly say hand on heart that this trip was the best. Our guide " Angel " and driver " Rafiell " they was the best also. We have been to many destinations over the years and have been on many trips and this was the best. My children aged 12 and 14 enjoyed it ver much. It is very easy to go on holiday and you only see the hotel and the tourist side. But this trip shows you abit of the culture and the way the dominican people do live, and that we take so much for granted in our daily lives.
We was offered drinks thro out the day , which was greatly appricated , and real yummy dinner , nice relaxing swim in a natural river , which the rapids in the river ,you have to see it to believe it, and nice boat ride seeing how the local youngsters amuse themselves by swinging and jumping from trees into the river. Held a crocodile which was abit scary at first but then it was great. At the end of the day we went to a nice beach for a bit of boggie boarding, my kids got the hang of itw ith help from the long blonde hair american guide. All in all , the best!!!!We all hold out hands up to say WELL DONE to the OUTBACK SAFARI TEAM for a memorable day and how they help the schools and locals. OH and Angel for being the best tour guide ever .Hopefully c u all soon .From Tracie, Will( the 1 will lots of freckles) ha ha ha

Me and my husband took the full day Outback Safari Trip on Thursday, April 24. It was absolutely worth every penny that we spent! My only regret is not bring school supplies for the children, as you can tell they look foward to your arrival. Lois was our driver, and Alex was our guide. Alex was so full of knowledge of the dominican culture, and there wasnt a question asked that he couldnt answer. He had a great sense of humor, and kept us entertained with his bartending skills (Tossing coke from the bottle over his shoulder, then filling it with rum). I never felt that it was just a "job" to Alex, since he seemed to enjoy himself as much as the tourists. The stop at the ranch was a treat also. Not only could we purchase our coffee/cocoa/sugar and mammauna, but we were given thourough explanations on the process of each. This was a stopping point with 2 other Outback Safari tour busses, and we got to see the friendly competition and banter between the tour guides. We stoppped for a delicious and relaxed lunch, then off to a beautiful beach for some boogie boarding. The "bar" was open at all times! A+ job for Alex and Lois!!!! Gracias!

This tour came highly recommended by a friend and I can see why. I gained a new appreciation for the island and it's wonderful people. Everyone was so friendly and I appreciated being able to visit a local family and school....learn about the culture and taste their sugar cane and awesome coffee!
Thank you, Ruddy (our guide) for being so informative and entertaining (oh, and for helping me in the river...oops) You're the best! I hope to see you again when I return for another tour....soon!
The day seemed to fly by too fast....I wish I would've had more time to experience more of the island! It was a great opportunity to get off the resort and experience the real Dominican...Definately a "must do" tour!!!

Not sure if we went on the East or North Coast adventure. (it was all day & we traveled the montain).
I was a litle skeptical at first because of the bumpy ride. However, I am so glad wwe did this, it was awesome & I wouldn't trade the experience or memory for anything!!!!!!!!!!! Alex & Candido were our guides, what characters and what fun. So knowlegable!
How ironic, my friend was there in Dec. and my daughter & son-in-law 2 years ago, both parties had Alex as their tour guide and remembreed him because of his awesome personality and his baseball days.
Candido was an awesome driver, after all, he got us to & from our destinations in one piece. Georgeous country and I look forward to coming back with our entire family next year.
Take Care & God Bless.
Thanks again!!!

The only tour we took on our trip was the Outback Safari and it was great! We had an all-day trip through the beautiful country side. Our driver was Christian and and tour guide was Rambo - the best! There were a bunch of us piled in the back of an open-air truck with seats. It was a very hot day, but the breeze of the moving truck kept us pretty cool. The driver and guide served us all the drinks we wanted - water, soda, beer, Dominican champagne which is YUMMY! They started us through towns where we could see how the people live, we stopped and visited at a real Dominican family’s house, we saw demonstrations on how to make coconut oil, coffee, cocoa, cigars, real vanilla and rum. We got to taste real sugar cane (chew but don’t swallow!), we shopped in local markets and bought all of these items for so little money. They brought us to a wonderful spot in the mountains where we had a great lunch under a huge open-air building. There were bathrooms at all of the stops except the last one which was Macao beach. We had a great time jumping the fun waves at this beach and boogie boarding. We bought souvenir shirts and hats of our Safari trip. Christian and Rambo - thank you for the wonderful trip and making it so much fun! You're the best!

April 08.Just retured from the Dominican Republic. The safari we went on was brilliant. Johnnie told us lots of information about the Country and the way of life. We made several stops to see the way people live and the country side. At the plantations you get to know how Cocoa is produced as well as Mamajuana. Well worth a try! At lunch time all the safari trucks met up and we had a typical Dominican lunch and looked at some animals. The final stop at Maccau beach is fantastic, a chance to surf on body boards. Throughout the day we were supplied with loads of drinks, beer, coke, water and even rum to go with the coke. If we go back to the Dominican Republic again would we go on the Safari again? Bet your boots we will.
